During her research in the archive of the Theatre Institute at the Allard Pierson Collections, Sarah van Lamsweerde found a modest amount of information about her former dance teacher, Jan Hessels, who died in 1993 of AIDS. The booklet is an attempt to recapture his scent and to give Jan Hessels a distinct and multi-sensorial place in the archive. The scented booklet will be part of the postponed performance Sightless Seeing #5: The TIN Collection, as soon as it is safe to gather again.

Tijdens haar onderzoek in het archief van het Theater Instituut, deel van de Allard Pierson Collecties, vond Sarah van Lamsweerde een bescheiden hoeveelheid informatie over haar voormalige dansdocent, Jan Hessels, die in 1993 stierf aan aids. Het boekje is een poging om zijn geur te hervinden en Jan Hessels een multi-sensoriële plaats in het archief te geven. Het geurboekje zal, zodra dat weer kan, onderdeel uitmaken van de uitgestelde performance Sightless Seeing #5: The TIN Collection.
