A performative alliance of the participating artists, a spatial happening submerged in the thrills of live art. With Annee Grøtte Viken, Ralph de Jongh, Elejan van der Velde, Nienke Voorintholt, Daniela Gfeller and soccer/art interventions by Tim Breukers & Tim Breukers.

The script by Annee Grøtte Viken, extracted from Murakami’s 1Q84, leads us through a tunnel of sensations. The traffic outside and the Jan Schaefer Brug which cuts right through Pakhuis de Zwijger and spans the 200-metre IJ port of Amsterdam, is part of the stage setting of the Show. Live performances and reciprocal action between artists and attendees.

Ralph de Jongh welcomes the attendees in The Crit, an infrastructure bubbling with the tension of esthetic and contextual poetry; an extravagant party for all your senses. Combining painting, sculpture, perfume and video and food in a spatial installation.

Elejan van der Velde’s appreciation for Annee Grøtte Vikens work is the ground for his presence at the Show. He brings Annee’s work to existence through the power of storytelling and performance. Elejan is the Machinist.

Tim Breukers performances are like his sculptures: whimsical, they excel in absurd mental leaps. Tim Breukers invited Tim Breukers, the vigorous right-back defender of Heracles Almelo. They are the intervention artists of the evening.

Nienke Voorintholt designed scents are the carriers of the sensory experience of being outside. They help to materialize the memories these pleasures leave behind. For Sensory Space Show Nienke Voorintholt designed an earthy tunnel parfum.

Daniela Gfeller is a certified Iyengar yoga teacher. She works to create a firm foundation of yoga practice to then gradually build towards deeper levels of awareness. Her teaching style is challenging but clear and precise. Daniela Gfeller developed for Sensory Space Show a set of exercises to help one feel the space inside and outside the body.
